Dan and his wife of 23 years, Michelle, moved back to Monroe in 2007 to raise their family. His career in technology includes work at Symantec Corporation and consulting for companies such as Freedom Mobile, Kraft Heinz, NBCUniversal, United Technologies Corporation (UTC), Carrier, Otis, and Raytheon.
Monroe’s mayor since 2020, Dan brings residents, businesses, and community partners together to tackle local challenges. He prioritizes responsible budgeting, transparency, and communication—and has worked with elected officials to secure over $3 million for Monroe’s critical infrastructure.
Hosted the March 2026 Monroe Community Town Hall to strengthen communication and transparency—with more to come.
Secured $1.5 million with Rep. Gomberg for Monroe’s 2027 Water System Modernization Project.
Worked with local and federal partners to advance the $4 million Monroe Drop Structure removal and related $750,000 water intake improvements planned for 2028.
Renewed the Economic Development Committee’s focus on priorities that position Monroe for future grants and investment.
Advanced the Parks Master Plan update to guide improvements and strengthen future funding opportunities.
Renewed focus on disaster planning, recovery, and community resilience.
Partnered with businesses and volunteers to support community events including the Monroe Festival, First Responders' Appreciation Event, Halloween Spooktacular, Monroe Community Food Drive, Monroe Community Toy Drive, Monroe Holiday Lights Contest, and Monroe Light Parade!
Built relationships with state, county, and regional leaders to advocate for Monroe’s needs and bring more support to our community.
I am running for re-election as mayor because, as a community minded citizen, I am committed to making a positive impact in the place I call home. I want Monroe to be a great place to raise a family, walk with our kids, and enjoy shopping and dining at local businesses with neighbors and visitors. I believe, together, we can build Monroe responsibly into a thriving community for our current and future generations.
